Ready for a creative challenge? This week, we’ll tackle a desert island dilemma! Practice collaborating, problem-solving, and narrating events using key vocabulary like “resourceful” and “devise”. Let’s invent survival stories together and boost our speaking skills!

Remember life before smartphones and the internet? This week, we’re taking a fun trip down memory lane to 1990! We’ll play an interactive game to compare our lives ‘then and now,’ sharing stories and practicing useful phrases for talking about the past.

I went through the “Conversation Topics” worksheets and tabulated the results. This lesson’s topic will be culture. I made a list of the popular topics and will ask all of you to help me choose which ones to use for the remaining classes.

Learners will participate in a role play, demonstrating the ability to adapt language for different characters and situations.

We’ll be using story dice again, but instead of using Dan Harmon’s Story Circle, we’ll be using a simplified version of “Nelson’s 9 Steps for Story Writing” to wrote short stories about travel adventures.

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to analyze and discuss common misconceptions and unhelpful practices related to healthy aging. They will apply the concept of cognitive dissonance to recognize conflicting beliefs, values, or behaviors and propose strategies to align actions with healthy aging principles.
