Vocabulary List
- Shove: To push someone or something forcefully.
Example: He shoved the door open. - Flock: To go or gather together somewhere in large numbers.
Example: People flocked to the beach on the hot summer day. - Split: To divide something into two or more parts.
Example: She split the cake into eight pieces. - Anticlimactic: When something is disappointing because it happens after a more exciting or impressive event.
Example: After the exciting movie, the ending was anticlimactic. - Glimpse: A quick look at something or someone.
Example: I caught a glimpse of the celebrity as he entered the building. - Oblivion: The state of being completely forgotten or unknown.
Example: The ancient language faded into oblivion over time. - Crop: To cut off parts of a picture or image.
Example: She cropped the photo to remove the unwanted background. - Assume: To think that something is true, even without having proof or certain knowledge.
Example: I assume that you are coming to the party since you usually do.
